Image
Fishing Devils Lake North Dakota!!      Want Fish? Then this lake is for you, Walleye, Northern Pike, Perch, much to fish for and it is hands down the best Walleye lake in the United States in my opinion. This author has fished Devils Lake many many  times with a large group who would go around Fathers day in June every year. The group would spend a week camping and fishing the Lake, and I can tell you, I cant remember having any better times than right there with the Fishing crew, it was just amazing.      Devils Lake is a lake that North Dakota is working to try and tame, as the lake itself is growing, flooding out the local area, it has eaten up roads, farms, houses, and much more over the years. The Lake is around 3,800 square miles. From 1993 to 1999 the lake doubled in size, and displaced over 300 homes and flooded up to approximately 70,000 acres. This Lake is huge, and is a great lake with much structure, as in Trees, Fence, Houses, ET...

Whitetail Hunting Tips For Success!      Over many years of Hunting Whitetail Deer, this author has witnessed many days of disappointment, along with many days of true Joy, when the hunt is successful, but at the end of the day I have learned many valuable lessons on how, and how not to hunt for the elusive Whitetail. In this artificial I would just like to share a few of these tips, that most of the experienced hunters more than likely know, but hope to able to reach out and help the in-experienced hunter, and maybe get a few more tips from some of the more experienced hunters out there, to share their experiences also. Deer walked feet from my stand, and are 20 yards away!      It is this authors belief that a successful hunt starts with scouting, typically start in the spring, and work all summer looking for sign, and food source's along with bedding areas.  I generally get two to three spots for tree stands picked out to enable me to m...

When and How or If you should use Scents and Attractants?      Good day all, I hope this topic will get some people talking and Sharing their thoughts on this topic, I have been hunting for a bit over 40 years, and I am still looking for answers on this topic. I have used many different scents over the years from brand to type of scent and or attractants with mixed results. I have used many brands like, Tinks, Code Blue, Code Red, ETC, and I am still questioning how effective they are? These days there are many different kinds of applications, not so much years ago, when it was just glands and liquid scent, today you can find those and time release, aerosol, stick, (Like Deodorant) Do not rub on yourself!, and many other. They are all intended to attract deer and this author believes some work better than others.      I have picture evidence that they do work, but to what extent do they work? I also would like to see some scientific evidence about ho...

I would first like to introduce myself, i am a 57 year old Veteran US Army, who wanted to start an online Business, and love the outdoors so much, decided even though there is so much competition in this field a store selling goods for Hunting, Fishing, Camping, Boating, ATV/UTV equipment and Accessories. That said I am finding out just how much competition, and how much hard work it is to build a website and Market it.     I do now show appreciation for all those who do this kind of thing for there 40 or more hour a week job. This author really is learning many new things and I am finding out that all of you that do this type of work can pat themselves on the back for doing this all day everyday!! This post may not have much content in the outdoor category as it should, seeing that this is an outdoor blog, but I thought i should at least throw out a kudos to those people behind the scenes on most website, blogs, and pretty much anything web related. So back to...
